Message Where to start.... I guess first off

To preface, I wasn't in jail, wasn't serving in the military, just had a very busy 8 months.

Last June, I was just about to start at a new job when I recieved a call back that I didn't get the job... =o( I was bummed cause I was getting tired of doing what I was doing. I got an offer on my condo (finally) and started going through the paperwork to sell it. Hit a few small snags with the buyer and their side of the paperwork so things got pushed to the beginning of July... the time I was to get married (WOOHOO)

Not even a week before I was to get married, I receieved a call back from the same company and told me I'm hired if I want it, his background check didn't clear.. something about a few tickets a year...lol. My start date would be 7.11.05, 2 DAYS AFTER I GET MARRIED.

After getting married, started my new job the following monday and finally closed on my condo and recieved the check that same week.... It was a great month... sorta

See, the thing that sucked is that we were going to be renting at my friends condo, which is also my real estate agent. (family friend of about 10 years). The next 2 months would be spent litterally living out of boxes. What I mean by that is that 90% of our stuff was in storage and we kept even our dishes, spices and other cooking stuff in boxes.. Wash the dishes, put it back in the box...
OH, did I forget to mention.. NO TV, NO CABLE, NO INTERNET... except for the dumbs**t who didn't secure his wireless network, that would be my only source of enjoyment. The no TV/CABLE, no internet was kind a decision we both made since we didn't know if we would buy a home next week, month, etc. There wasn't a point to the hassle

After putting about 5 offers on houses and getting outbid on all of them, finally got accepted on an offer... btw, for those that don't live in WA Seattle area, houses were selling last summer in less than a week. The house for 225K would sell for 245K just because of bidders. My completely crappy house listed for 220K and we bought it for 237K, not before dumping a CRAPLOAD of money into it.... but more on that later.
NOTE: The pictures just do not do it justice on how crappy this house was.

The things you don't see are the discolored popcorn ceiling, the fact that this sick bastard who is a boeing employee for about XX years paid the house off in 15 yrs and did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to it in that time.
So far, we're up to about 18K into the house, all the work done by me and my best friend, also a fellow Z member. My other friends helped out when they could as well but my best friend helped some days 12 hrs on a weekend.

Note: we have a faucet and everything is running now. Just too lazy to take updated pics.
Once again, a before, then during, and after.

The granite tile counters were also done by me and my friend helped out with putting the cabinets together. The things omitted that were redone by me with the help of my friends is we tore out the woodstove fireplace, ripped out the electric only furnace and installed new ductwork and a heatpump.
The 2nd bathroom is almost done, and in about 2 weeks I should be ready to install our hardwood floors.... all the while my Z sits outside in the cold at my friends getting trampled over with cats.

Speaking of the Z, she's out of commission for about the past year due to 2 failed 3 yr old factory injectors. Bought a used set of 6 that ohmed out fine from a fellow member here. I'll be installing those for sure before summer. Only put 1500 miles on her last year!

OH, the most important pics... The pics of my wedding and my beautiful wifey.
btw, that be a bottle of some Crystal Rose! Gotta be a balla on my wedding. lol

Had a somewhat small wedding... about 75 people. My wife and her entire family are from Chicago, my parents and their friends live in CO, and me and the rest of my friends live here in WA so it was a challenge to get everyone together. The turnout was great though. Praying went a long way considering it was raining for about 2 weeks straight, then on our wedding, overcast then by noon COMPLETELY sunny. The following day was overcast again and rained later that day.
